dont dare tell me it is ok for a child to run a site when it's certainly not legal to be on one.

if the rule was 14, would you still be against 15 year olds selling porn? I doubt it

true but you cant stop either one

any idiot can make a website
hell theres a 3 year old in india who can make a webpage unaided

there's nothing to stop anyone underage moving into adult
it doesnt mean its right
but theres no way to stop it
same as signing up to a site - any kid can use their paarents CC
perhaps in future you'll need a retina scan fed to your PC

actually i would! what 15 year old should not concern him or herself with online porn. when i was 15, i was active in school activities so that i may have a decent transcript for college. i worried about my grades and who i thought was a hottie. i most certainly wasnt worried about the confines of adult responsibility. in addition to that, the guys i knew were interested in sports and how they were going to hook up their cars. we all had jobs but we certainly were not concerned with something like this.

so yes, if 15 were the legal age, i would be dead set against it just for the basic fact that children need to experience their youth and online porn is not the way to experience youth. what they do once they turn 18, 19, even 21, is their business but up until that point, let them be a child as they deserve to be.

however, that is not the case and the legal age in the usa is 18. therefore if you are a child, involved with an adult "activity", if you will, such as this, it is against the law....plain and simple. there is no grey area here. there is a reason we have laws to protect children....

i do not have children but that does not mean i will not protect the rights of children.

The sponsor actually emailed my parents and told them it was for a non-adult website of theirs. $

I'll just say this...

I've been here for many a year, and as each new year comes and goes, new people come into this business. Many are college students wanting to do something new to impress their friends for whatever reason, and a few are bums that have no job, life etc that still live at home.

Now onto the good stuff, I know a fellow here, on this board, that was a webmaster of a "non nude site" when he was 16.

When he turned 17 he started an adult site.
His parent's knew about it, and had no problems with it, their reasoning was, well, hes a man, hes 17, if he doesnt know what sex looks like at his age theirs something wrong with it.

Its now 2 years later, and this "kid" makes more money on the net then both of his parents do.

If it was me would I let my kids be webmasters? I really don't know, but certainly not at 14 or 15.

if that is the attitude that some parents take, then they shouldnt bitch when a 16-17 year old female, or male for that matter, poses nude for content. the reasoning can be the same...she is a woman and if she doesnt know what sex is by now, blah blah blah.

i do not believe that it can be or should be a catch 22 situation. you can have someone arrested for taking pics of a 17 year old, yet not be arrested yourself (as a parent) for letting your child promote an adult website. and now that i think about it more, a person who gets arrested for photographing a 17 year old should be arrested, as should the parents.

i am not arguing your statement...you clearly understand what i mean by not allowing a 15 year old to promote a site. i am just making a point that i am sure will cross this industry's path sometime in the future. i am willing to bet sooner rather then later.
