Hi all,

I have just released CjOverkill version 2.0.1

You can download it at http://cjoverkill.icefire.org
Complete feature list, user manual and demo are also available there.

New features:

1) Geotargeted filter (filter contry traffic and redirects it to any URL you want. Useful for different languages sites. Also the database is structured in a way that other scripts could use it. Using ARIN free database -> 99% acuracity).
2) IP Filter (Filters IP ranges you select)
3) Browser filter (Filters browsers, leech bots, etc... Wotks exacly as .htaccess, but you do not need to know .htaccess stuff nor your server needs to be able to support it)
4) Request method filter (Filters any request method you specify HEAD, PUT, OPTIONS, etc...)
5) Autofilter (Hitbots are automatically filtered, after a hitboting pattern is detected. This not only shows you who is hitboting you, but also prevents him from fucking your trades and access your site).
6) Install and forget filtering (The filter automatically adds or deletes hitbots or serious freeloaders, so you do not need to police your trades all the day and can dedicate your time in working on your site and making money)
7) Mass Edit (mass edit trades like in CjUltra)
8) Hourly logs (All logs are shown hourly, also log sorting is allowed, so you can sort based on logs parameters you prefer).
9) Trading methods (Several trading methods to choose the one that best performs on your site).
10) Maximum return % (When returning traffic, the script will return the maximum % you specify. Quite nice if you are returning 500% to some trade and you want to return 200% as much)
11) No cookies (No more cookies, no more problems with IE 6.x cookies security or surfers with cookies disabled. All is kept into the database. Also helps to discover hitbots and gives a better surfer tracking)
12) Anticheat protections have been improved (Current anticheat protections are: minimum and maximum productivity, maximum proxy %, maxmum clicks per surfer -> with autofiltering of that surfer to prevent hitbots, maximum repeated IPs per trade -> with autofiltering these IPs to prevent hitbots)
13) Security has been improved (the security logs are also improved, so now you can sort them based on attack time, hour, exact time, IP, proxy).
14) Some minor bugfixes

No, It's a rewrite. If you think that a 5 MB code (CjOverkill) is = to 50 kb code (TTT), you are at your own. In my world A is not = B.

Also if you take a look at the script itself, the admin area HTML layout is similar but not the same. And the script itself works in a very different way. There has been lots of dramma about this before, so do no start it again, this is not the purpose of this anouncement.

These dudes claim that their free database is IRIN's database with several small enhancements

As you can see Rasmus (the PHP creator) is using the same database on PHP.net, so I think that's enough to say it's a good database.

As you can see, on the MySQL tests, The algorythm to track countries used by CjOverkill can track about 10000 country queries in 12 seconds on a P4 1.7Ghz

5MB of code?? haha, that's a good one. I just checked and 4.71MB of it is php files filled with country-ip info taken from that ARIN or whatever.

It's just so funny that you have to put that database within your php code just so you can make the above statement.

The IP to country database is needed for the geotargeted filter, so it's part of the script. If these were 4.71MB of .jpg pics showing my ass then it would not be a part of the script, but the fact that this is needed for the installation and correct fuctioning makes it to be part of the script code.
If you do not want to call it code, then call it database stuff

It's also almost completely MySQL driven.
If you want some performance stats...

My test box is a PII at 350MHz, 326 MB RAM running Apache 1.3.27 with PHP 4.3.0 and MySQL 3.23.51 with cache optimizations. All custom compilled, including the linux distro.
I hammered it with fake traffic (hitboted the test box). The traffic was :
in traffic - 259200 (3 in requests per sec)
out traffic - 432000 (5 emulated clicks per sec)
The box dealt with that during 24 hours with no problem.
If you are concerned about the MYSQL queries speeds... On the same box the main SQL queries in raw take:
ip, geotargeting, filtering: 0.03 sec
other queries: about 0.05 sec
trading algorythms calculations: 0.02 sec

As you can see, it's quite fast if you have a good server config. Also if your server is a fast box (remember that my test server is an old 350 MHz box) it will not give you any problem even with high traffic.

No limiations as I know, the only limitation is to the hitboters and cheaters, they will have it very hard to cheat this script.
The first time I installed the final version and set it up and running on my site the filter blacklisted my IP because I was reloading my main page too much times

It's 1%, but as it's determined by a random from 0 to 100, and if it's 0, it goes to me... sometimes it's exacly 1%, sometimes it's 0.95% and some other times 1.05%.

I read in the comparision chart that your script allows "License allows you to change the script" quoted from your page.

This means i can take your code cut out the part sending you traffic. And repack it and selling it for $500. Right?

The new features are new in comparation from version 1.0.2, so they are really new to CjOverkill, and perhaps no other free script has that much features (not very shure about that).

Some of the ideas were given to me from old TTT users that now use CjOverkill. Some others came from old CjOverkill users, and others were my invention.

I have visited some scripts support forums and sites, so there are some features (like the geotargeting) that came from other places. And yes, I also took a look at all these russian boards that are full with russian webmasters and got some ideas from there too.

The next version will have more features I need. After all I coded this to cover my needs... and my needs are almost perfection

Just a reminder, anyone installing this script on their server is violating copyright. Your site will be blacklisted at FT and from all my programs. Your host will be notified and a C&D sent to your host and his upstreams. icefire boy, hurry up and get a host for your site so I can take it down.

If this is truly your own coding/work I dont really understand the persistance on leaving the admin area identical to that of TTT.

While you may be doing okay with the distribution of this, think of how many more webmasters would start using this if they felt halfway comfortable with the fact the work is unique.

Not at all, read the script license. You cannot sell or distribute any derivated work from it's code unless you get my written permission. You also cannot remove the 1% traffic to me.
I allow people to change the script in order to adapt it to their sites and their needs. For example, some people have changed the webmaster trade signup page to add the trade to several sites at a time, some others have coded their own trading algorythms.

The HTML layout on the admin area is in that way because I feel confortable with it. If you do not like it, you are allowed to change the HTML on the admin area, the license allows you to do this.

Also it's very funny seing Choker blame at me. I think that he has enough years and is enough inteligent to understand that CjOverkill is not TTT and his childish behaviour is just ridiculous, so I will not start a dramma with him again and will just ignore his post.
At the moment no one single site was shutdown because of using CjOverkill... and there are several paid members ares sites using it to track internal prod.
If you are concerned about the script code, just compare it. Both scripts do not even use the same method to track surfers.

Well, It's 10:15 PM here, so I will watch some tv and get something for dinner.
