I came across this site in my access logs. Turns out a part of this site has a posting from a member who went through the GFY board taking galleries that people have given permision for tgp owners to use. Which is perfectly fine. But with a model of "Don't click an anythign that isn't a thumbnail" it really erks me that a webmaster from GFY is involved in this. What's really amazing is the blatant disregard for why we build galleries... for sales. So what do they do? List EVERY godamn gallery in our gallery databese. Use sponsor hosted galleries too. This is ubber waste of bandwidth so I have decided to redirect those fuckers to a scare tactic page that has more truth to it than people may think.


What do you people think of sites like these who saturate and show people how NOT to buy porn? Would you redirect them too? Or just take it as "Hey , it's still banner exposure" while keeping in mind, they aren't going to pay when every damn gallery is there.

AS well I would like to know who this kaizersoze character is that posted http://www.livejournal.com/community...25/174068.html since he is obviously a lurker or maybe even an active member here at GFY (that would be drama in a handbasket)

It's obvious they don;t give a shit what goes on in there. Either way, the guy did remove the links. However the page those links came from have a disclaimer for use on tgp's only. Thus it is a legal matter. Oh well. All was resolved anyways.

They obey the law, not your rules. Anyone can link to anything they want and there's no "legal issue" unless he's posting your pictures on his server or hotlinking them.

Imagine that every site on the web had to get permission to link to every other site - the internet wouldn't exist.

Live Journal works within the law, not within some adult webmaster's terms of service.

Linking to mys ite is fine. But taking my database for sues not intended are different. With your logic that would mean disclaimers and terms of service would utterly be useless right?
