Uhm, you've heard of telephoto lens, haven't you? The fence and gate are there, the photographer shot over them.

I've checked it. I've stood at hte front of the house to make sure our noise couldn't be heard from the road. We're talking a cement block house and lot's of trees.
Get the math right, we're talking a 33.3 pound bag of shit. And while I haven't checked the lot size, I was told it's about 2.5 acres which is the number I use. The 2.5 acre lot on one side is a tree farm with no house and occasional workers. The other side is a 2.5 acre nursrey storage area with trucks, palettes and scafolding in the back and trees in the front. So we're smack in the middle of 7.5 acres with no houses except for mine. How are they being "exposed" to it. These people show up, they visit our house, they leave. Nobody sees anything they don't want to. And wait, do I get to pick who gets to visit my neighbors? They're running businesses too, you know. I don't like the looks of the guy who kills the weeds at the tree farm, can I call the cops on him? He looks a lot scarier then our talent!

Yeah let's not forget the landscaping company. They're operating on the next door neighbor's house, outdoors, with loud equipment, AND FOR A COMMERCIAL PURPOSE.

I remember when I used to live in America, land of the free. Now I live in America, land of the oppressed.

For years -- make that decades -- I hear of photos renting houses and mansions for shoots. I'm betting everyone here has at least some kind of that content, beautiful model in a mansion.

So where does one draw the line? Is it ok if it's on a hill? In another country? If it has a high wall around it?

Is it still "residential" anyplace there is a mansion, I'd assume so since someone lives there? Does it need 100 acres of land before it's tolerable? Should it be on a private island only? Do photogs have to build million dollar sets in warehouses from now on?

Come on, wanna here some answers on just where the "line" is supposed to be and where it's supposedly crossed.

A few thoughts, never met you Gregg but really like your work. Would love to intern for you for a week, I know I could learn so much. The thing I dont understand if you are doing well why not have a office to run the business out of and then shoot where ever you want. I used to watch family business seymours butts ran the business out of a office including interviewing the actors and actresses. Then it looked like he did most of the shooting at his house. Its not like Miami is anti porn you have Score operating in a business park next to Sony and you a bunch of other big sites hard core sites down there. I think you should be able to do what you want in your house but if you are hiring people with shady pasts thats a tough one because you are them introducing them to that neighborhood. I am lucky most of our people are people with very normal lives but want to get a kick. I hope this works out for you :)
