The casinos love people who think they have some control over what happens :Graucho

I didn't say video poker numbnuts. POKER. Craps is less than 2% and you can put blackjack in your favor. Anyhow, Poker isn't considered a regular casino game in that equation.

I've played on Paradise Poker regularly for almost two years. My username is Jeager. If you ever get on there, watch for me.

I don't mean any disrespect... but since you are fairly new to online poker, you have to be careful. Online poker is about knowing odds, not reading people. For example, you have an inside straight draw with 4 people in the pot, do you call after the flop or not? Odds are about 7 - 1, you are getting 4 -1.

In real life poker, raise raise raise (depending on the players). Online, fold -- since you are almost assured to be in the pot with someone at the end.

Again, no disrespect, but I've played profitable online poker for a long time.

I know the odds, etc and yes they are very important. Reading doesn't help anything on a full table. The only time I play that way is on a table with 2 to 5 people and I know how they play ahead of time.

Edit: Didn't you read all the retard posts? There's no way you can be profitable at poker.

Edit 2: I'll look for you on there. I downloaded it but haven't played yet. You online all the time?

The reply threads are just stating your a spamming mo-fo with your "Awesome" casinos every 3 weeks. Thats all. No need for the anger to justify your big wins:1orglaugh

Jeffery 07-10-2003 01:41 PM

Anyone up for a real game at InterNext? I'm sure Stock will accept. How about everyone here who think they can box?

when u say stupid do u mean they bluff like morons
u cant see these guys faces or anything so do u just have to go on their betting trends?

KRL 08-12-2003 02:13 AM

Are there any multiplayer poker rooms with webcams so you can see who you're playing with?

If not, that'd be a cool enhancement I'd bet.

You cannot "put blackjack in your favor" unless you are a professional card counter...and 99% of players do not have the patience to be a card counter...and in a real casino they will escort you to the door...if they even suspect that you are a card counter.

First of all counting cards is simple. Second, of course they escort you to the door if they catch you but people count cards all the time. Third, during certain times of a blackjack game they odds are in your favor regardless of whether or not you know it. I've won consistent on blackjack too. It isn't rocket science.

Learning the mechanics of the count is not that difficult...but having the patience to apply the mechanics is beyond the overwhelming majority of people. While it is true that one may have the odds in your favor at various times...unless you are a counter this is not helpful to you at all...as you will be unaware.

The very worse thing that can happen to a gambler is to win.

I did some serious gambling for ten or more years and have won and lost large sums of money...and ultimately came out in the red...but to win is the worse thing that a novice gambler can do as it makes him/her think that they can consistently win over the long haul and it just is not true...even for the best of the best players.

I agree with you that it's bad for a casual gambler to win money. However, I won't do something that costs me money. I seriously won at blackjack on a regular basis and now I win at poker consistently. I happen to like poker more and it's much easier to make a profit on a regular basis. Even if I lost every penny in my account today I would still be well ahead. I'm too big of a tightwad to play something I was losing money on.

This is an old thread. I haven't had time to play much lately. Still win consistent though.
