That $8000 is for 100Mbps and two high-end servers. Also note, that next to that price it says that discounts are available.
We are offering a co-location special (on the specials page) - 100Mbps for 5000 / MRC. Good until Friday. |
Interesting ... a little expencive but I guess you have the best *nix boxes and good technical experience. Si I understand the concept.
Good luck with the project and we might come around one day. |

It's really ironic to see a Candid Hos.... banner that even speaks at the top when I read this thread.
By the way. I love your webpage layout for your new hosting company. Good job. |

Not bad for a Tier 4 provider :winkwink: Up +433
http://www.hostcount.com/cgi-bin/cgifind.exe?Find="jupiterhosting.com" It took me a while to get to Tier 1 but it's nice to have the peering agreements we have in place now. http://www.hostcount.com/cgi-bin/cgi...ubm it=Search |
I'd just like to say, I was pushing XFR here long before Lensman aquired XFR. The day he aquired XFR, they only got better. It was top notch pro shit back then and it is un-fucking-paralleled now. Launching Jupiter gives you guys an open window to get some serious hosting and rise above the entry-level shit you're on.
If you're gonna run with the big dogs, you know where to go. If you're a punk poser forehead-cocksmear.... well, we know what you do already. Bash if you must, but at the end of the day, these servers are up and running strong. And that's the bottom line. |
Congrats Lensman! The site looks excellent and I'm sure that your company will have true staying power in our industry if your hosting company has the same level of integrity as all your other ventures :)
Reliable, HostCount doesn't mean shit... Their results for most hosts are so far off the mark it's completely laughable! Although, it's entertaining to see all of us with nice rankings. Cheers, Brad |
Yea now that's really smart. Host all your sensitive data with your competitor's hosting company! :thumbsup

I'm so excited!! Thanks Lensman, for everything! :thumbsup

everything I have is on XFR servers. |
hmm well I use it to gauge the size of the network and see if they have peering agreements, etc
As for tracking it's uptime and downtime.. it seems to try to place companies based on a group of IP's and their performance.. so that could be quite biased.. who knows what IP's they are tracking right? But the size and peering agreement information is fairly accurate and much of this information can be found at fixedorbit.com |

Fixed orbit only lists adjacencies and you know that. It does not list all of your peers. Hell, we have 20+ more peers than what fixedorbit lists (LOL). Hostcount only counts the number of domains you host in DNS and whois info.. I could spoof hostcount and be in the top 25 (but apparently you already knew that). Give me some credit and get your own thread. |
100 bitches.

I never said it was 100% accurate, but the info that is available is useful enough.

When I drop a 2 lbs. t-bone steak in front of my doggie and ask him not to touch it - then leave him alone & check back later - will the steak still be there? lol :glugglug

Company A has 500 million members on there site and they are hosted on a company that Company B owns. Make any sense now? Alot of sensitive materials that Company B would LOVE to get their hands on :) Not saying they would, but who knows, I think thats what Madball is saying. |

That's not one of the metrics I use to measure the quality of a host, but that's just me! |
Well, unlike your graphics guy you at least got the point hahahaha :glugglug Have a good dinner!

hmmmm. okay. I understand.. it's part of the decision making process. If this is the worst aspect of my company, then I am a happy man. |

like I said... I'm glad I don't think that way. Must be a pretty shitty existence and not one I care to live. |

Your logic is flawed, just because a host doesn't have paysites, he is not interested in your email lists? You must think we are the stupidest people on earth! Imagine if we stole a mailing list from a customer, don't you think those things are seeded like crazy? They would know it in about 2 seconds. They go public with it am I'm outta business with 12 different businesses we current operate. If anything, we would have much less incentive to access your data because we have much more to lose than a hosting-only company. Think before you speak. |
Just my :2 cents: but Ray is good person to work with and Ben and Josh also

Hey Amp/Lens does this mean that your servers won't crash for the 2,000,000 post contest like they did for the millionth? That was some good times though. =)
