Judging by that picture - are you near the older pink hotel? When we went to Waikiki, we stayed about an inch from the top of your picture.

I am not a big Waikiki Beach fan. It is very, very similar to Florida, but 10x as expensive. I definitely recommend renting a car and taking a ride on the Kam highway!! If you have the $ to spare, check out this hotel...
