spam me with targeted traffic buys

I tried buying targeted webmaster traffic from a company that claims to be selling "domain traffic". However, my server stats say 90% of those hits don't use any bandwidth, so they are maybe bots or attempts to load my site in a pop up that is never fully opened. Regardless of why, they are pointless.

I have a mainsteam model search site I am trying to build link trades for. If I could get webmasters with mainstream sites to visit in numbers of 1000+ per day that would be good.

Been there done that. The first link I tried to follow up on was 404. Even with search engine results many of the links are no good because it is such a fluid business. Right now the top sponsored link on Yahoo has already been taken over by a company I've had no luck with even before their ad expired.

I've noticed some posters here have useful and timely info.

Others spew brainless autobot replys to everything. But the trash is worth wading through if you get a decent answer.
