It seems to be about the buggiest piece of hardware ever. It thinks it's full, it's not. It doesn't sync. It freezes up often. It requires several system reboots, just to add small increments of data to it.

Appears to be this way for lots of people.

I've sent mine back twice already - waiting for my 3rd one !

Though I hate to say it - Apple fucked up big time on this one!

I guess these things happen, especially since they outsource a lot of production, but this still isn't cool.

I guess the only real defense I can consider is this... They sell a shitload of these things. Any product that sells at that rate will have some bum units-- the real question is, what percentage of units are problematic.
