Undertakers tell pensioner they want her body

German pensioner Franziska Schild got a shock when she opened her door to find two undertakers had called to collect her body.

The men, who had a hearse waiting outside, told her: "Sorry to disturb you, we have come to collect the body of Franziska Schild."

The 80-year-old, who is partially blind and lives alone at the house in Cologne, says she had no idea who had rung the undertakers to report her death.

She said: "It was a shock when I saw the hearse pull up, as I thought one of my neighbours had died. But then I was even more shocked when they came and knocked on my door."
