    Restoring files in Outlook?

    fuck what a bitch, lost all my past emails, must be someway to restore this shit? anyone know how?

    Talk about a fucked up day haha..

    You know how some programs have the feature to "repair" within the 'remove' section.. Yeah well i tried that and it just removed everything

    search your drive for .pst files. That's the one with Outlooks data.

      Yeah i remember seeing those files, but now they are gone

      anyway I can bring them back from the dead? after an uninstall ?

        You probably can. Look around for some data recovery software, there used to be a few good free ones out there. They take forever to run though, don't make any plans for the weekend.

          Removal of files doesn't delete the actual data.. only clears the info Where the data is stored from the FAT (file allocation table) and makes it availeble to the system next time it needs space to store something.

          So .. if you haven't done much datasaving after the removal of thoose important files the data might still be intact (just not visible by the OS).

          If its really important I would try a "undelete" program that will seek out the filedata and try to restore it for you.

          Guess a start could be searching for "undelete" on shareware.com or google.

            Thanks, I am gonna try and reinstall outlook now, I was able to recover my .PST files as KRL mentioned, so hopefully i can fix this nightmare.

              Ya don't lost the fuxin files, when it shuts down wrong it just puts them back in a different place..Spend a few minutes in Search and you'll find them!
              Me, It snatches my Netscape Bookmarks and hids them once a month!
