clic on start then select run and type in the file line this :
"%SystemRoot%\System32\restore\rstrui.exe" with out the ""
then hit enter and restore your windows to the date on which it was functioned well.

Probably just need to clear your temp internet files. This happens along with sometimes only saving images as .bmp etc. Just try clearing your temp files under tools.GFY Voice of ReasonComment

It's just your cahce that needs to be cleared and delete your temp internet files. I have that too once in a while and you'll see that is you try to save a pic from the net it always saves it as a bmp. Same prob :-)Comment
