    XP load up problems

    Okay here's the deal.

When I reboot, sometimes it takes alot longer than normal to load up.

I mean an additional 2-3 minutes.

and then others it just boots up normal time...really quick even.

I've cleaned out the task tray, the start up folder, have disabled any services taht I don't need.

Any other suggestions for things that I should look for?

This just started the other day just out of the blue.

Do the ethernet card(s) in machine getting their ip(s) dynamic?

Another cause would be removed hdd...

Of course we have the "Gates Factor" as usual..Things without a cause.
