From what I know , most get 1 but many take extra days. I know a ton of people that take this whole week off for the holiday by using their vacation.

days off?
If you work for a union shop, and get weekends off, this would be a 3 day weekend, but only because it falls on a Friday this year. If it fell on a Tues-Thurs it would just be the 1 day. If it was on Sunday, you might get Monday off, depending on your contract. If on Saturday, you would probably get no extra day off, but would be paid for the day. |
