Every time I go thru an online form, I keep noticing that "United States" is always listed on top of countries sorted alphabetically. Why is that?

Because a majority of webmasters are from the U.S. and it makes it easier for U.S. webmasters to find their country instead of having to scroll all the way to the bottom.

I'm pretty sure Africa isn't a country, but basically I think it's kinda logical to have them in alphabetical order. You could always press "U" and get down to the countries starting with u.

If pressing 7 made the phone company thousands of times as much money as the other 9 digits combined, I would imagine 7 would be the first number listed.

When fuckers DONT put the US on top of the form, and make you dig for it (even better are the ones that do stupid shit so you can't hit U on the keyboard to find it. Grrrrrr),

There is no excuse for an american company serving primary folks from the US to have it any other way. I can see if it's stuff that mostly is sold elsewhere, but rarely is that the case.

US & Canada should be at the top. How many people do you fucking think buy shit from afghanistan online? I'd be willing to bet most sites do 99% of their business to the US & Canada that are shipping tangible goods.
