I believe my first signup was to fatgirls.com from Cash Quest unless you count some Adult Check signups. Before that (I started in 1996) I was using only click thru programs. I used CyberErotica first, then I used another one that I can't remeber the name of, then I tried out Babenet and did well with them for a while before I moved on to Intergal and XPics. Oh yeah, and Gamma. I did really well with Gamma's click thru program for a long time. I did okay with most of the click thru programs for a long time until I finally discovered how much more money could be made with partnership and per signup sponsors.
My first per signup and partnership sponsors were Cash Quest, Busty Amateurs (GOD I miss that program! Darned religious fanatics!
) and eventually I found ARS which I've been so happy with that I've stuck there all this time. I use a few other programs sometimes so I don't have all my proverbial eggs in one basket, but for the most part, I'm a big fan of ARS.

Farting around in a CompSci computer lab, I found the newsgroups through the mother of all gopher interfaces in '94. Homed right into alt.sex.voyeurism for some reason.
Lurked for a couple of months until I read of an e-mail gateway to Usenet and then started participating. Got my first camcorder (edit: just recalled what it was- a Canon UC1) soon after that and immediately made a tape to trade with the others that hung out on that newsgroup. My first AVS/free site was in June 1997. I think I made about 12 bucks the first month, but by the end of 1998, I made about 2000 times that over the whole year with Adultcheck and some smaller money doing upsells through the links pages on good old AC
