try using the new release of MSN 6.0. it has already a built in function that saves history... Damn its about time.

i've got the same problem... it seems like it store the history, but somewhere among the older history, so it is there - but doesn't appear as the most recent...

I would like ICQ Lite to save my message history for me automatically. Is this possible?

A. Yes! To save all your messages automatically, click Main > Preferences & Security > Saving Options (under Preferences). In the Save Messages/History pane, select the Save History checkbox. Click OK to save your changes and close the window, Apply to save your changes and leave the window open, or Cancel to delete your changes and close the window.

What about the Pro version? I cannot find it anywhere... Unless I am just not seeing it...

You would think the pro version would have it if the lite version does.....

Main -> Preferences -> Alerts & Notifications
Uncheck the box "Do not save message history".
