I wanted to take over the video rental store that I worked at during my studies, but eventually decided not to do it.
It doesn't really take a lot of investment because movie companies lease out their new stuff to the stores, so what you pay is a fee for everytime someone rents one of the new vids/dvd's. And after like 2 months you can choose how many of the videos you actually want to buy. Adult video rental was only like 5% of the total revenue, but maybe that was because the store is in a small town. The reason that i decided not to do it was that it would bring me only little revenue (you definitely can't get rich of 1 video store), good and trustworty personnel is hard to find (mostly students, it doesn't pay very well) and to stand there myself would be faaaaaaaaar too boring.
