help with w32.slackor.dr virus

my computer was behaving very weird today, so I just ran NAV and found this w32.slackor.dr virus. Supposed to be fixed, but no virus def, no notice on what it does, nothing. Any help on this and how to be sure it's gone for good? And before you say it, I just typed format c: and have my finger half way to enter key

yeah, I found something at Mcafee site, but very little, mostly how to remove it, but no fucking idea on what it does. In my case, it takes my P4 with 1 Gig of RAM and makes it work like a dx486 with 4 Megas, only that not all of the time, but every 20-30 mins. and it tries to change NAV settings

I had the same problem. Dumped WinXP and installed RedHat. Finally got my hands on Win2000, installed and not an hour later...I'm back to where I was before.

What's the link on the McAfee site that gives info on how to remove it.
