    copyrights, etc

Hey, I have a question, this came to mind after the necrohiphop and posting other peoples pics, etc.

I know if I want to, I can post a 30 second clip of any music video from MTV on my website, and there is not a damn thing they can do about it. What is the exact law relating to this and I'm assuming it applies to porn as well?

There are fair use laws that protect you under certain conditions.

However, you are wrong when you say there isn't anything they can do. They can sue the fuck out of you and make you prove that you have the right to use their material.

I have read, for example, that the Scientologists are known for going after anyone who tries to post excepts from their books. Regardless of whether they would win or lose in the end, they can cost you hundreds of thousands of dollars in court costs and make your life a living hell if they are willing to put in the effort.

You do have rights if you are in the United States, but you might have to put up a big fight.

          It's called TGP
SIG TOO BIG! Maximum 120x60 button and no more than 3 text lines of DEFAULT SIZE and COLOR. Unless your sig is for a GFY top banner sponsor, then you may use a 624x80 instead of a 120x60.
