    bandwidth resource needed?

I need a online resource that I can plug URL into to see how much traffic is going through them.

I had one awhile ago but must have deleted it from my favorites.

I did not think that it was very accurate due to the fact that it said one of my sites was number 15,000+ on the list. MSN, Google, Yahoo and others were at the top with some I had never heard of.

Please let me know if anyone has this resource. My wish is to track some tgp2 sites to find out if it is worth my bother.

    Thanks,

    Debbie N.

    You're probably referring to http://www.alexa.com

If it was Alexa then I wouldn't read much into what it says because alexa is pretty shitty for judging the popularity of your site.

Alexa is very inaccurate, they base the websites popularity on just the people who use their toolbar and go to a specific site. They have a few million people that use it while other 3 billion or so aren't using the toolbar. So I wouldn't take Alexa's rankings to seriously.

Not to mention the fact that some sponsors and sites have all their employees browsing their own sites with alexa installed to fake higher traffic ratings.

thanks guys, but it was not alexa.

the one I remember had the ability to type in a URL and it would go to that site, amonst a list of 25-50 others, also it was searchable to the point where you could look for the uniques vs raw hits.

I will try to rack my brain on this.
