idiot html editor?
No, not for me, but I have some content producers that I host, that are forever bugging me to make small changes to their web pages that drive me nuts.
The one guy in particular does not know html and I think Dreamweaver or something would scare him off. Any true idiot mode WYSIWYG html editors I can downnload and train somebody in 10 minutes to do very basic pages? |

Well nothing is completly idiot proof, but one product that seems to fit the bill, especially if you are using Dreamweaver is Macromedia Contribute.
It allows user to add text, etc, but protects the html. If you combine this product with Dreamweaver templates, you can tightly control what they can change ...or screw up for that matter. The bad news is it is $99. Contribute Product Site |

I recommend Netscape Composer. It's free with Netscape and it's a really, really easy to use. I prefer the old version that comes with Netscape 4.79 myself. But the new version that comes with Netscape 7 is pretty good. I never have any compatibility issues with making pages that will work with IE. Plus, it doesn't screw up my sponsor codes like some WYSIWYG editors. It does have its problems, though, like it loves to add stupid   everywhere, but it gets the job done and it's free.
For editing the actual HTML I recommend CuteHTML (comes with CuteFTP). It makes it really easy to keep up with stuff and will even help correct mistakes in coding. I love it |

I have done HTML for about 7 years. So I know my HTML. But why the fuck should anyone use 5 times longer handwriting codes, when they can WYSIWYG them ?? And don't try to tell me that pro's handcode, been there to for some years, so that one wont work either. The only ones using notepad and other handcode programs and nothing else, is all geeks or stupid.... And if anyone tells you otherwise, they have not been in a real firm. Why should anyone wanna pay for 10 hours of HTML work, when it can be done in 2 ? (And that is with the HTML cleanup afterwords) Don't bug me about my english, I'm not native

I did'nt say pros hand code, but they should be able to edit in plain text to make simple adjustments. If it was'nt for all the newbie "do it yourself without any knowledge programs" then there would'nt be as many fuckin' lamers trying to make a buck with their shit ass websites!, they would'nt have a clue. |

So I understod it as you thought of Quality Adult Webmasters as pro's... ;) Maybe you don't... Hehe But yes, if it wasn't for WYSIWYG programs, there would be about 90% porn webmasters out there... And the design prices would be 400% higher... Fuck it, will go watch a movie... ![]()
