The Wheel of Time series by Robert Jordan. I have read the first nine books several times each. I will read #10 sometime soon.

The Darksword Trilogy by Margaret Weiss and Tracy Hickman

A Game of Thrones (part of a series, but I have not read the others) by George R.R. Martin.

Ditto. It's A SONG OF ICE AND FIRE series. Most of it reads like an amazing historical account of a middle age, war torn continenet (with a little fantasy mixed in).

A Game of Thrones
A Clash Of Kings
A Storm Of Swords
A Feast For Crows (due soon)

... more planned

This is more of the Horror genre, but I love fantasy books and so I figure you guys would like these too

Laurell K. Hamilton - Anita Blake Vampire Hunter series.
1st book is Guilty Pleasures

Also kind of the same genre is

Christopher Golden - Shadow Saga
1st book is Of Saints And Shadows

Two good series there.

And if you haven't read it...This one is a must for anyone who like Fantasy or Sci Fi

Orson Scott Card - Enders Game

That ought to keep you busy a little while

Sure thing. Right now I am reading Dan Brown - Angels and Demons. Pretty good book. Fast paced. Waiting for Harry Potter this weekend and then the 4th book in the Shadow Saga from Christopher Golden comes out on Monday. So I will have my hands full for a while. But if you ever have any good recommendations I am happy to hear them and let me know if you need more as I always try and spread my wings into more stuff.

I didn't really like Rice that much. Too much filler I thought. But I love King. I will check these out for sure.

Thanks

May I suggest the following:

Bedlam Bard series (elves & fantasy creatures in the modern world):
Knights of Ghosts & Shadows by Mercedes Lackey & Ellen Guon
Summoned to Tourney by Mercedes Lackey & Ellen Guon
Beyond World's End by Mercedes Lackey & Rosemary Edghill
Spirits White as Lightning by Mercedes Lackey & Rosemary Edghill

(the first two are collected together in Bedlam's Bards)

Of course, be sure to read all of the Michael Moorcock novels too

The Shannara series by Terry Brooks. A little slow at times, but an excellent read

Yup. The first book The Sword of Shanarra the first couple chapters is mostly background stuff but after that it flies by!!

Every Shanarra book I've ever read I've sat down and read it in a day. Got that book when I was a young kid and couldn't put it down!! been that way for every Shanarra book Brooks has written. He's coming out with another this summer!

Every book in that list above, with the exception of a few of the Dragonlance books cause there are so many of them I've read at least half a dozern times or more a piece!! Love to read!!

Clive Barker is best known for horror, but his fantasy is awesome. Weaveworld, The Great and Secret Show, and I can't recall the name of the sequel to the latter.

An oldie-but-goodie is Maia by Richard Adams. Hot! It's out of print now but I'm sure you can pick it up used. Big, fat epic.

I need to start reading fiction again. Besides what's on this board, I mean.
