I play guitar. The last band I was in named Freak, just came to an an end. We were together for about five years and in that time we recorded a couple of cd's, one of those was done in Germany. We got a distribution deal that had our cd's being sold across Canada. Did some tours including a big tour of Europe. We were there for six months and played around 70 shows. After the tour we split up, which is too bad because I felt that we had a lot of momentum and knew that a lot of bigger thing were ahead for us.

So, if anyone in the vancouver area is looking for a guitar player drop me a line.

I play guitar on a rock band since 5 years ago, here is one mp3 from our last cd demo.

http://www.swamioms.net/mp3/swamioms3.mp3

Nothing is better to get your mind out of work for an hour than playing guitar in front of a cranked 120wats amp. You forget about all daily problems/stress.

I've met many a friend and gotten folks jobs in mainstream. Lotta pornmeisters make loot in porn to launh their careers.

Yep, there's tons of talent in this community. Make no mistake about it.

I even got one pal a gig doin' soundtracks for Paramount. I was stunned to see he was actually a college trained symphony composer!

There's a couple of local bar bands pull me up to sing a few songs with them sometimes, but that's about it these days.

I was in several bands when I was younger, amongst them The CorpsePhuckers (speed/thrash metal), Fascination (thrash/punk), Warpigs From Hell (Slayer ripoff type band), Innocent Rage (Judas Preist-style heavy metal, did a lot of glam, hair covers for school functions and very very minor touring), Satan's Nuns (devil metal), Putrid Fist (death/black metal), Digitalis (Maiden-style metal) and did some fill in gigs for DustDevils (country/rockabilly band)...amongst many other projects...but I haven't even picked up a bass in a couple years

I mainly play bass and sang (more screaming, grunting, growling and yelling than "singing")

I still have the masters for some demos we recorded as Digitalis, 'll have to dig them out,,dust them off and do something with them...

I've written about 1200 songs, so if anyone is up for some.... ;-))))

I've played guitar for like over 25 years. The last 12 years I've been playing blues guitar. The last band I was in was about 6 or 7 years ago.

I only jam ever now and then with a few people. I do miss having a band but I just don't have the time that being in a band take right now.

I heard that! Man when I was still going at it hot and heavy I used a 100watt Peavey Deuce 410, 100watt Ampeg V4B and a 50watt Peavey Classic and a small Crate Amp.

The Crate was mic-ed into the classic. Bass freqs were filtered off with a EQ to the Ampeg. Using that set up and with the Deuce would either take the walls down or take you home.

You talk about a growling blues! That was the set up.
It was perfect with my Strat or LP
