The fact he brought someone with him would worry me. Definite red flag. I'm willing to bet that while your friend was keeping you occupied with chat the other guy was checking things out. A couple of months ago 2 guys that work from home here in Victoria for IBM had their computers and equipment stolen from their house while they were out eating. A friend of mine who is a cop was telling me about it, and since then I've been extra careful to lock the doors etc whenever I go out. If someone stole my pc's I'd be fucked for a few days for sure!
