I had one class in 7th grade -- had to memorize the name and location of every country in the world... among other things... Served me well... same teacher had us do a blind test of Pepsi vs. Coke -- out of the whole class I was one of 3 students that consistently could tell the difference between Coke and Pepsi.

But seriously how many of these kids will ever leave the USA? 95% of them won't. They think the USA is the best place in the world to live -- why should they care. I seriously doubt I will ever step foot in Iraq or Afghanistan... If Iraq was on the moon it wouldn't make any fucking difference.
