In grammar school we may have touched on the state capitals, but that's about the extent of it. I dunno how it is now.

I had one class in 7th grade -- had to memorize the name and location of every country in the world... among other things... Served me well... same teacher had us do a blind test of Pepsi vs. Coke -- out of the whole class I was one of 3 students that consistently could tell the difference between Coke and Pepsi.

Ignorant complacent cocksuckers.

They should hold up an unlabeled map of the middle east and force them to name one fucking country.

Next hold up a picture of puff daddy and ask them to identify.

If they cannot name a single country on the map, yet can identify pdiddy, they should immediately be shot in the face. Do not allow them to breed.

You are fucking worthless generation and I sincerely hope I live to see the day that you pay for your ignorance with your life.

And the really sad thing is that as ignorant as all these people are, their vote counts just as much as yours in any election. Idiots elect idiots. Morons elect morons. :(

only about one in seven -- 13 percent -- of Americans between the age of 18 and 24, could find Iraq.

Too bad for Iraq they were all MARINES!!
:1orglaugh :thumbsup

But seriously how many of these kids will ever leave the USA? 95% of them won't. They think the USA is the best place in the world to live -- why should they care. I seriously doubt I will ever step foot in Iraq or Afghanistan... If Iraq was on the moon it wouldn't make any fucking difference.

At least pdiddy makes cool bird noises.

Back then, and even now, it's a matter for discussion. Why? Because Vietnamese isn't English. Is it The Netherlands or Holland? Is that city in China Beijing or Peking?

Whether they can find it on a map is a much more relevant question.

You can take the 2002 test here
http://geosurvey.nationalgeographic....uestion_1.html

Here are some more interesting results:

3% of Swedish couldn't find Sweden on a map

12% of Germans, 12% of Italians, and 21% of UK couldn't find US on a map

21% of Americans couldn't find Mexico on a map. Neither could 29% of French, 45% of Japanese, and 49% of British

29% of Americans couldn't locate the Pacific Ocean on a map. Neither could 48% of UK, 17% of Canadians, 40% of French, and (wow) 16% of Japanese.

Only 17% of Amricans, 12% of Mexicans, and 25% of French could identify Afghanistan on a map.

85% of French don't know what el nino is.

Could you find the idiots on a map? If so you are doing better than 16% of Japanese.

AdultNex 06-19-2003 06:17 AM

I would be guessing they were polling little 13 year old kids in redneck village.
