How important is it to allow customers ot down load images/ moives from your site?

If I was to build a site that made it impossible to down load images and movies would it hurt memberships?

If I built a site that locked out the ability to down load movies or pictures to the customers drive. And I am not talking "no- right- click" crap.

My guess from JFPdude's reply, is that it would not be a good idea.

I wouldn't go to your site if you did that.

I understand.
I am not familiar with the B to C side of this business. I have been tossing around the idea of starting up a pay site and I am starting my homework process.
I assume I will ask at least 300 more "stupid" questions before I write a line of code.
