Sorry to say it, but until there is indisputable scientific evidence that humans have a 'soul' terminating a pregnancy is the equivalent of going on vacation and not watering your plants. Something that cannot live without you dies because of a decision that you have made.

Otherwise, the debate over the 'morality' of abortion is simply conjecture. The fact remains that in the first trimester, and undoubtedly beyond, the thing cannot live on its own. And, to add to the problem, we already have enough unwanted kids in the world with no chance to lead a good life. Too easy to make uninformed, baseless statements just because you 'feel' strongly about an issue that has no effect on you.

Oh, and yes this woman is a scumbag. Please pollute the world with your unwanted children, then decide (want to bet she was 'born again' like so many Americans?) to become the mouthpiece of the most despicable wealthy minority of this nation.

Good point... and I do kind of wonder.. What if you knew a child was to be born and live in horrible pain or die very quickly and painfully after birth.. What if having a child would kill the mother? What about etopic pregnancies? It's definitely not a black and white issue.

Just pointing out that noone has been able to prove that we aren't anything more than a big seething mass of molecules. That makes 'life' a very relative term, allowing comparison between a human being and, say, a houseplant.

I was just trying to give voices to all those poor houseplants that can't speak for themselves, you fucking murderers.

Any arguments against having your friends watch your place and water the plants are advocating murder, plain and simple.

If you are adult enough to purchase a plant you are adult enough to deal with the potential consequences; having to water them properly, having to tend their soil, give them enough sunlight. I have no sympathy for the murderers who purchase plants without the intent to care for them.

It's about time people who have the common sense to understand that each plant is a life wrestled control of this country from the socialist sapling killers.
