Schizophrenia - The New Acne
Excerpt from a recent article advertising a new medication for the treatment of schizophrenia. They make it sound like it's a problem like "bed wetting" or "severe acne".
For all you who fell for the depression med pharmaceutical scam, here comes another one that will surely make it's way to your medicine cabinet.... :Excerpt from article: ...The first medication I went on worked really well in making the symptoms go away, but made me gain all this weight. While I was glad the symptoms had stopped, I was really upset by all the weight I had put on. I felt ugly, depressed, and didn't want to go out in public as a result. Although I have only been on SEROQUEL for five months, I have already lost over 15 pounds, which has made such a difference in my life, and none of my symptoms have returned. I go out in public all the time now and people can't believe it is me. I love it when people say, "Lottie? No way, that can't be you." It makes me feel so good and has even encouraged me to seek some part-time employment. I would like to tell other people who suffer from schizophrenia that you should go to your doctor immediately because they can help you. It will take some time before you feel like yourself again, but it will happen; and taking the right medication and sticking to it, is critical. The other medication I was on was helping the symptoms, but wasn't helping my self-esteem. SEROQUEL is giving me back my self-esteem and is allowing me to become sociable again. ![]()
