A company becomes "big" for a number of reasons - A new idea, or being willing to work twenty hours a day to see a dream come true. And then once you start making money, you take the profits and invest into a new idea. Some work, some fail. Do you think Lensman cheats his webmasters? His employees? If you want to know which of the big companies is cheating people go to Internext, find their programmers, and get them drunk. You'll hear a mouthful.
