I have a Sony 51" widescreen, and I'm very pleased with it! :)

There is Hitachi and Mitzobishi (sp?) in a class by themselves and then you have the rest. Every salesman I spoke to before I bought said this too. My Hitachi kicks ass!

I have a 65inch Mitsubishi Diamond and love it!

Just got back from best buy... never a fan of Toshiba's but this just came out and there was a noticable difference. Getting a 51 inch Toshiba

when i was shopping around for a TV i compared sony and toshiba projection screens in several stores. The toshiba's had a MUCH clearer picture than the sony's on widescreen HDTV projection TVs every time i compared units at all size levels- AND they were a little cheaper too (not that price was a concern)

Interesting thread -

We are moving into our new house in 2 weeks. Finally I have a dedicated gameroom for my pool table and I want to have a nice sized TV in there for the Xbox/PS2.


Whats the deal with playing games on these bigger TVs? Does it screw up the screen? I did read a little about the plasmas, but does this apply to all bigger TVs?

I have a 53" Hitachi, I looked at the others and the Toshiba is a great model, but I got a better deal on the one I have, and quite happy with it.

too expensive imo. buy something nice and keep it for 10 years.

Why purchase a projection tv in that size when you can have a plasma tv. I have a pioneer elite projection myself but next tv will be plasma.
