Cream of the Crop ROTTEN 3% Avg. Rating: 2.6/10 "Christian Olsen to mug so hard as Lloyd that he looks like Carrey being demonically possessed by Jerry Lewis." -- Peter Travers, ROLLING STONE "None of the Farrelly brothers' imitators has ever satisfactorily replicated their notorious comedy recipe for genially crude anarchy." -- Lisa Schwarzbaum, ENTERTAINMENT WEEKLY "As prequels go, Dumb and Dumberer: When Harry Met Lloyd is right up there with Star Wars: Episode I - The Phantom Menace -- long, lumbering and endlessly unfunny." -- Steven Rea, PHILADELPHIA INQUIRER "The movie should have been called The Dumbest, because it no doubt will emerge as this summer's most inane release." -- Claudia Puig, USA TODAY "Dumb and Dumberer's worst offence is that it constantly reminds you how much funnier the original was; it's like watching a stoner re-enacting Monty Python and getting the jokes totally wrong." -- Katrina Onstad, NATIONAL POST "I don't know whether it can get any dumberer. But they definitely put the lame in lamebrain in Dumb & Dumberer: When Harry Met Lloyd." -- Bill Muller, ARIZONA REPUBLIC "Believe me, you're better off at home, alphabetizing your old comic books, talking to your parents, or watching paint dry." -- Wesley Morris, BOSTON GLOBE "More moronic than the original." -- John Monaghan, DETROIT FREE PRESS "You can't say you weren't warned when Dumb and Dumberer: When Harry Met Lloyd proves to be a really dumb movie. That's rather the point isn't it? And on the bright side, the movie demonstrates that, occasionally, there is truth in advertising." -- Tom Maurstad, DALLAS MORNING NEWS "For those who recall the laxative overdose sequence in the original D&D as a comedy classic, there's a gag here about a melted Hershey bar that I thought might make the preview audience soil itself. Bear that in mind." -- Jack Mathews, NEW YORK DAILY NEWS "Relies on double entendres so obvious they wouldn't get a chuckle from Beavis and Butt-head." -- Jeffrey Westhoff, NORTHWEST HERALD (CRYSTAL LAKE, IL) "Including a parcel of strained bloopers at the finalé, the flick clocks in at about 81 minutes. Hell, even DISNEY would have the decency to release this crap directly to video." -- Scott Weinberg, EFILMCRITIC.COM "The most ill-conceived attempt at extending a franchise since the Pink Panther movie that was stitched together from outtakes after Peter Sellers died." -- Scott Von Doviak, FORT WORTH STAR-TELEGRAM "Whenever you have to draw on the former Full House dad for comedic salvation, you're seriously hurting." -- Phil Villarreal, ARIZONA DAILY STAR "I'm not laughing." -- John Venable, SUPERCALA.COM "I can?t hate this film enough." -- Tony Toscano, TALKING PICTURES "If I had laughed even once during this movie, all those unoriginal stunts and jokes might have been forgivable" -- Audrey Rock-Richardson, TOOELE TRANSCRIPT-BULLETIN (UTAH) "Laughs are in short supply, unless you consider copious amounts of bathroom humor and silly sight gags accompanied by an '80s soundtrack as hilarity." -- Sue Pierman, MILWAUKEE JOURNAL SENTINEL "...one of the most rancid disappointments ever to be hatched as an intentional piece of flavorless entertainment. Undoubtedly, this dispiriting dreck has all the allure of a pepperoni-induced burp." -- Frank Ochieng, MOVIE EYE "The humor here is obvious, at best, and the laughs are more groan-inducers than gut-busters." -- Sean O'Connell, FLIPSIDE MOVIE EMPORIUM "A flat-footed comedy whose best moments are in the outtakes at the end." -- Roger Moore, ORLANDO SENTINEL "A tired gagfest that is nearly as stupid as its main characters." -- Sean Means, SALT LAKE TRIBUNE "It takes a certain kind of talent to come up with a movie that makes Dumb and Dumber look like a cinematic masterpiece." -- Jeff Vice, DESERET NEWS, SALT LAKE CITY "Stay away from this movie. Dumb and Dumberer is a wreck." -- Joshua Tyler, FILM HOBBIT "It really is a shame that such hard-working, talented kids weren't afforded the inspired humor they deserved to riff on." -- Bob Strauss, LOS ANGELES DAILY NEWS "It's not unbearably bad, but it truly lives up to its namesake: dumb." -- Paul Salfen, SUPERCALA.COM "Merely stupid and not the least bit funny." -- Steve Rhodes, "At 82 minutes it feels longer than Lawrence of Arabia -- and a lot less funny." -- John Patterson, L.A. WEEKLY "Mostly this movie swings and misses." -- Tom Long, DETROIT NEWS "Even dumberer than the original." -- Megan Lehmann, NEW YORK POST "Dumb and Dumberer: When Harry Met Lloyd sounded like a bad idea, and the movie removes all doubt." -- Mick LaSalle, SAN FRANCISCO CHRONICLE "Feels like the longest movie ever made." -- Liam Lacey, GLOBE AND MAIL "While Dumb and Dumber possessed a bracing, genuine vulgarity, this new film is more often merely disgusting as it piles up jokes involving various bodily discharges and the unpleasant things that can be done with them." -- Dave Kehr, NEW YORK TIMES "Every bit as awkward as its title, 'Dumb And Dumberer: When Harry Met Lloyd' is missing not only Carrey and Daniels, but also the creative spark and anarchic spirit contributed by brothers Peter and Bobby Farrelly, who wrote and directed the original." -- Peter Howell, TORONTO STAR "I wouldn't want you to consider even renting this thing." -- Desson Howe, WASHINGTON POST "To call it sophomoric would libel even the most pathetic, pimply underclassman." -- Ann Hornaday, WASHINGTON POST "Dumb and Dumberer: When Harry Meet Lloyd is lame, tame and clearly has no reason to exist except to cash in on the good will created by the original." -- Kirk Honeycutt, HOLLYWOOD REPORTER "Adults might've felt guilty for liking the first film, but it was hard not to laugh. Adults won't do more than giggle once or twice during the new movie, and they'll walk out feeling dumber than when they walked in." -- Eric Harrison, HOUSTON CHRONICLE "Director Troy Miller doesn't just lack the comic juice to extend his and co-writer Robert Brener's sketchy ideas into a feature, he's not above selling out his characters for a cheap laugh or two." -- Manohla Dargis, LOS ANGELES TIMES "Will leave you numb and numberer." -- Colin Covert, MINNEAPOLIS STAR TRIBUNE "If you think it's funny, you may just be 'special' too." -- Paul Clinton, CNN "So excruciatingly awful, the word 'dumb' could sue for slander." -- Mark Caro, CHICAGO TRIBUNE "A dull and dullerer movie likely to make audiences feel numb and numberer." -- Bob Campbell, NEWARK STAR-LEDGER "Usually, Hollywood waits until August to empty its cinematic septic tank into multiplexes. This year, the flood has started early. And no movie could be more aptly compared to raw sewage than this film." -- James Berardinelli, JAMES BERARDINELLI'S REELVIEWS "The level of humor is, needless to say, idling on level 00 in the parking garage of the mind." -- John Anderson, NEWSDAY |

It was kind of bad. It's not the actors fault it's the scrip which sucked. There was 1 scene which was just hillarious. I'd wait until it comes out on dvd and not rent it. I can't believe I wasted $10 on seeing it.

"Whenever you have to draw on the former Full House dad for comedic salvation, you're seriously hurting."
-- Phil Villarreal, ARIZONA DAILY STAR They should have got some of those critics to write the script. Funny shit. ![]() |

Saw it online... sucked pretty hard. The movie had a couple humorous moments, but for the most part sucked donkey dick.
