Ok just wondering,
I find doing design work for other people fun, and challenging at the same time, and I also find it generally easy...

But whenever I try and do something for myself I can't seem to get anything semi-decent working.

Am I the only one who has this problem?
Or are other ppl out there ... plagued with this disease?

Nah, I can design for me just as good as for others. The only thing I've noticed lately is that I got sick of making tgp gallery templates

But I do suck at promoting my own sites, getting traffic to them.

I do the same as well, it's puzzling.

Problem for me is that I'm a perfectionist, and designing something for myself will take years.

I use to be like as well, I found out though, that I was putting more time for others, because I was worried about what they would think and did a better job. When you design for yourself, you usually don't push yourself as much.
