I read it was a fuckup and they just decided it sounded good and left it in. Great movie, Nina Hartley did a hell of a job too.

I've been to that donut place where they had the big shootout scene and I've been past the place that was suppose to be the club... it's in downtown LA I think... someone drove me down there and we played in a rehersal hall there.... was kind of trip to eat at the donut place

If you don't have it, get the 2 disc DVD set. It has the deleted scene where Dirk tries to go and save Becky Barnett (but crashes on the way there). The scene with Becky Barnett and Jerome is very intense (which is why they cut it) but very good.

One more thing (Long Way Down) is awesome, very tense with Cosmo (he's Chinese) playing with fireworks.

If you ever watch the movie with someone who hasn't seen it before, crank the intro up real loud, when the loud music comes on it will get their attention.

He did that at the beginning of Punch Drunk Love with the car crash scene...I jumped out of my seat in the theatre lol.
