Jay IS one excellent customer. As far as I can tell, he is one of the most reasonable people I've ever met. I've not had a problem hosting his sites. Pays bills on time, and he even manages his own shit most of the time.

While webmasters should certainly learn more than a few basic unix commands nonetheless you're not going to get the knowledge of an expert experienced senior systems admin in a couple months of any training.
ITs like these idiots who are going to school for their CCNA
and the idiots in HR depts. who look for that vs. someone who hasn't paid $$$ for exams because they've been working their way up the ranks in heavy duty networking on cisco gear for 8-10 years.

There are lots of opportunities for folks to learn to become UNIX users and you can get to that point with a few as two full days of classroom training.
