There are a lot of sites that simply will not load in any way unless its thru internet explorer

winsock seems to be fucked..

what the hell could be wrong? commands thru winsock that simply do not work on one of my os'es works fine on another install (winxp pro)

any ideas? is there some sort of program denying access to certain sites?

Have you tried using a program to log all of the headers being sent or received in IE?

Maybe that will help.

Recently installed kazaa lite?

Search for a file called HOSTS and look thru there and see if the sites are listed...

nope, didnt do it

i removed kazaa lite completely (before that i removed freeezinebucks from the list) but it still wont work

Remove the hosts file...

Reboot

You should be fine

Kazaa lite is fine to have on your pc...Just make sure you don't have the "Supertrick (block ads)" box checked when it asks you what all to install...
