It is getting very annoying now. My sites are slow as shit - I have paid listing on TheHun and some places... What a waste of money today! My movies won't even downlad at 15k/s.

It's been very unstable for about a month - and since 2 weeks it's seriously weak.

Oooh - and the NOC isn't on ICQ. Probably their ICQ wasn't capable of handling all their clients complaining. haha!

Anyway, hope they fix their shit soon.

Soul Cash is down, All Liquid is down also.

Maybe Soul Cash should consider getting a new host, their sites have been slow for me all week. I put some links up earlertoday but now I'll take them down, it is not good sending visitors to a can't connect page when they have a credit card in their hand already maybe to join.

It also sucks when my graphic intense free sites loads faster than Soul Cash pay sites.

Getting 912 byte/sec download speed on my trailers now.

Had 20-30 k/s slow transfers all day. Tech support said all was well, right.

While I have never hosted with Five-E, I can confirm that their tech department has a high reading on their clue-meter, unlike certain other hosts that are in the topic...

Hurricane Electric? No shit, I started out on them about a billion years ago. They raped my ass with overage fees. Of course, I had no clue about image compression, and was making sites with 400Kb pics right off the CDs

Like Whoa hosts all my personal sites... well kinda.

Swift Communications has always hosted CollegeFuckFest, and tripleXcash. http://swiftco.net

They have always been fast as hell, and reliable. We do a lot of fucking business with them.

Hit him up right now and switch over for a special deal. They said they would help anyone that's running into problems with Like Whoa.

Get in on this while you can. No offense Like Whoa. Business is business, and Swiftco, just made me an offer on 100% Global Crossing, that I can't refuse.

Hit him up.

Hey,

Just a note about internetseer stats. It's a decent tool for determining uptime, or service degradation (usually), but using it's metric of "average connect time 0.19 secs" to compare to other hosts is a bad metric to use... That number will depend a lot on operating system-operating system quirks, their software, their physical location, and their network characteristics. it is entirely possible for them to have a worse metric for a better carrier.

I'm not saying anything about swiftco one way or another (honestly, I've never heard of them). Just letting you know it's a bad metric to use.

Another example of a metric people throw around a lot that they don't understand. Fixedorbit... just because it says someone has say, 10 connections. It doesn't mean they only have 10, they may have plenty more. It shows what fixedorbit can see from it's location, and public route servers. If, for example though, it says someone has one connection, it's pretty unlikely they have connectivity from anyone else, but, in some cases they do. In any case, it's really unlikely they have "lots" of connections.

In like whoa's case, for example. They have Yipes and Network Plus, even though fixed orbit only shows yipes.

We had a few servers with likewhoa and dropped them some time ago.

I make no money off of it, but we have used http://www.mach10hosting.com for years now and really have had less than 1 hour of downtime per year. they are fantastic, reasonably priced and have very high quality bandwidth.

A little bird told me that on Tuesday night they are getting 3 new providers going to be the first 10gig host, and be bigger capacity than ever.

May be rough waters now, but its smooth sailing head.

Trust me on this.

You'll see.

i wonder if they've tried bleach to help clean the dirty fiber lines? bleach can get some of those stains out that are left behind by porn surfers.

i think that little bird was here posting something like that during the last downtime. it was the same bird that was talking about level3 litigation and not getting kicked off of verio tho, so i dunno.

Trust me on this.

Since I'm on my way out to diner this will be my only post in this thread.

Is this upgrade on Tuesday 05, or the 12th?

i'm sticking with like whoa. if things go to shit i would move, but they're a great group of guys who don't seem to sugar coat things. if you have a problem they're right on it asap.

the last couple months, i don't think its what we can really expect from like whoa in the future. but my patience is being tested tho heh

Thanks guys. Please excuse any inconveniences over the course of the last week. We are actively working to resolve current issues while we prepare to upgrade our network. As mentioned before, 10 gigabit network was a milestone for our company this year and we are happy that it will be fully operational within days (while connectivity is added throughout the week). These unexpected downtimes are very unfortunate; however these events are not directly affiliated with the ongoing network upgrades.

Our new network addresses all issues with capacity (full 10 gigabits), redundancy (multiple fiber strands to 2 various Telco hotels), and network quality (at least 3 tier-1 providers ? i.e. Cable & Wireless, AboveNet). Thank you.
