Extra Ibill fee for new domain?

Okay, my friend (whom I have been hosting her domain for her) has gone with another company for her site. However, they said she coudlnt just point her domain to their name servers because Ibill would charge him 10 dollars a month to do that. Im calling bullshit. anyone else here about this?

shes set up a 60-40 split with them, so they are the ones doing the processing. She would just own the domain.

The whois on her domain vs the other sites that the guy runs plus the main site dont match, so I dont think its that issue. Anyone else heard of this?

Ibill's going to charge a host $10 if someone points DNS info at the host's servers?

What?

This is not true.

iBill does not charge a fee related to hosting or domain transfers.

OKay, since I have an offical person in the thread.

If company A is the one that paid the fees and does the processing and running of the site, does it matter who the domain holder is? Can I personally own the domain, have all the whois info point to me, and the ibill billing be under another company?

What you are saying is that you want to use someone elses Ibill account to save you paying the $750 and let them process for your site ? As you are too cheap to pay the $750

Nope.

this other company is running the site using a very similiar domain name. my concern is that if she leaves the other company, she will lose all her traffic and name recognition. Or should I not worry about that? The person who paid the fee is the person running the site.

She wants to keep the domain that she has, and use it for her site. However, she has been told she cant because of an IBill fee. And im trying to get clarificaton on that fee, or if Ibill cares about the whois on the domain.
