Please help

Hi,

Ive had some serious hosting problems that my web admin wont fix for me and to be honest i dont blame them.

This is the email I recieved from my web-host:

Hi

you had a sersious problem with that script that crashed the server this morning,

you then re-enabled it and it crashed the server again, which has been fixed but we've had to disable your account to stop you causing further damage


under no circumstances must you run that script.

I, after a few hours, realised that it wasnt a script that had done damage but the fact that this site:

had sent me something like 40,000 "hits" in about 2 hours, the refering site being the one above (that exact URL).

My web-host have blamed me obviously, they think my index.php script is not 'exiting' as it should or somethin, dont know what thats all about. I looked at my NedStat statistics and I had recieved no hits, so I dont know how its showing up as 40,000!

Anyway my web-host has disabled my hosting and with it I cannot access any of my website files so Im pretty fucked.

Please help.

Obviously there are two possibilityes
1) Your server admin sucks (very probable) or your hosting company is overselling their servers (most probable one). Fix it changing to another server.
2) Your script is really buggy and crashes the server. On your sig I see you are a coder, so I figure you did not make a script like while(1=1){fuck the server}.
Probably this guy has imgsrced you and your host was not able to deal with the server load (very common with virtual hosting plans as they are intended for small sites).
If you really have the 50k traffic you should move to a dedicated box.

What script did you use? or it was a custom build one? Just for curiosity.

1) the admin have been real good up until now, I dont think they do oversell the servers - unlike my last host, so i know what it would be like if they did.

2) the script is not buggy at all, its just a simple index.php?page=1 kind of script where page "1" is included in the area below my main title.

I do know that while(1=1){ fuck the server } would basically fuck the server, as do I know that "for(;;) fuck the server" and "do fuck the server while (1=1)" would also be inifinite - its nothing like that.

What do you mean by imgsrced can you explain? I think you could be right there cos when i initially viewed source on that page (http://www.happyhopp.de/statistik.html) it had <img src= on it, please explain more mate.

I do not get 50k traffic, the server I was on was ideal, fast and a great price - i dont really want to part with it...

Well it's simple. When some big traffic site wants to fuck some other site it just includes this tag at the bottom of it's page:
< img src=PUNISHED-SITE-HERE width=1 height=1 >
This basically sends crap traffic to the punished site. Did you cheat this guy? there are methods to redirect this crap traffic to some other site, so perhaps someone cheated him and then redirected the crap to you.

I didnt cheat him at all, unless he couldnt get one of my scripts to work arggggghhhh fucking twat.
