msn spamming now??

    msn spamming now??

    i got a message tonight through msn messenger telling me my messenger was out of date, and it gave me an msn address to go to for updates. but i was always of the impression they sent their messages through a console window thingie (like when the window pops up to tell you about server maintenance). not only that, but i don't even use microsoft's client, so i'm not sure why it would be telling me this...

    anyone else get that message?

      Everytime I log on now. I'm sure it's legit, I heard the new MSN isn't compatible with Trillian.

          i've just gotten it once, but lately when i log in i recieve a warning window that says "invalid user", then logs me in.

          i rarely use msn anways, so it wouldn't be a loss if they axed other clients. but i don't use trillian, i highly disliked trillian last i used it
