Wasn't there a push for Esperanto to be the universal language but it died out. GFY could be its revival.

When I was in Asia a couple of years ago, I stayed in several "guesthouses" where all the backpackers would congregate, and it was amazing to see dozens of nationalities all talking in English as the commom language and teh 2nd language everyone around the world learned.

My vote if for Yiddish BTW.
