227-pound (103 kg) grey wolf from the Yukon, Canada, is recognized as the largest widely accepted grey wolf on record.
According to Guinness World Records, this individual is the heaviest grey wolf (Canis lupus) reliably documented. It comes from the Yukon territory in northern Canada, where northwestern wolves (a subspecies of grey wolf) can grow particularly large due to abundant prey like moose and caribou.  |
