Age verification adoption for my clients has exceeded my expectations. I was surprised--and a little confused, because I also thought people would resist that.

I'm on-boarding new verifiers for my SaaS setups as time allows.

AVS has actually been beneficial to my clients and you would think it's a hinderance and no one wants to go through the hassle - well - apparently users don't mind it and appreciate that. Maybe it's the idea that if you keep telling someone "no you can't have it" - they want it more... so postponing it with warning signs actually may have the effect of the user saying, "holy shit this stuff must be good if they have this many obstacles in getting to it"

So think about it - you get all the free porn you want - it does get boring after a while and soon as you look at several tubes you find it's mostly the same stuff - suddenly now you're faced with sites saying, "you can't see this until you prove you're a real adult". Suddenly you've gone from content you can see to content you can't see - which can spark curiosity that maybe it's better or much more raunchy that they had to put a warning sign on it and a way to make sure only adults can see it.

Keep in mind this is just my opinion and no scientific facts - but I feel does answer why this is happening

The vast majority of paysite affiliates died a long time ago.
The paysites main affiliates were the tube sites (using content partner accounts) but even the big tubes are now seeing a decline with their over-aggressive rules and much lower view counts and you can see them trying to re-adapt due the OF popularity.

AgeVerification.org is the easiest one to implement. Just paste one line of JS code at the top of any page and you have age verification. It's free to the webmaster and users pay $1.88 one time fee for lifetime access to all sites that use them.

We´re using this on my blog, so far so good, although, we spoke to AgeVerification, asking if they would share names of the adult sites using their AVS, they said they won´t give out the names of any websites using them.

A shame, as would be good for subscribers & would have created a site sharing the adult sites using them, therefore all the AV was already paid...

a good idea, even now, maybe someone will create a site with adult sites with AVS on them, i´d definitely be part of this

I noticed the first pages aren´t actually using the AVS though, they mention them, like Semrush & "is it legit" sites, & GFY is on the 3rd or 4th page...

from about the 5th page the tubes & sites that use AVS are actually & continue being listed, so nice going, to find a way to start a site with all the "AgeVerification.org" user sites

800k seriously? Where do you see that number? Google no longer shows the number of search results. So it seems that for "ageverification.org" there are only a few hundred results where this word occurs and it has nothing to do with the number of websites where the service is deployed.

The JS snippet works fine if your site is basic. The problem starts when you have a custom-built site, specific user flows, or you're trying to maintain session state properly across pages. That's where the one-size-fits-all solutions break down. Compliance isn't just about slapping a gate on the homepage.

i agree, for affiliates it is shit , and i bet for paysite users either, but i cannot speak for them..
however, not talking about the extra clicks that are required for aws and do kill sales, i suspect that tracking mechanisms suffer during the age verification process
its double shit for affiliates

This is why I am looking to use the most popular age verification service and once possible, use the same service the affiliate sites I promote use.
Then promote that age verification BEFORE the click the affiliate link, so maybe they sign up on site, then I forward them to the affiliate program, where they already have verified their age.
This might help.

Or just lose the sales in countries that have age verification.
