In this matter, I don't think you are. It's not just about the reasons for things happening, but also your responses to them, and deciding what's important and what's not. For instance, you can fail at something yet still be glad you did it the way you did. You need to be in that situation to realize that though.

Well...there certainly have been some bad parts...I think through no fault of my own...but sometimes one can be haunted with hindsight. I will experience one of the bad parts for the remainder of my life...but I do not have any bitterness about that...though for awhile I was bitter that the Army would not let me stay...I could have worked at a desk job...but if one is not 100% fit...to carry out the job they are trained for (I was Airborne Infantry) then it is SOP for the Army to discharge you.
