We moved to the UK a few years back, no regrets as of right now.
Kids are doing well in school, wife seems happy and the cost of living is significantly lower here than in the US when it comes to groceries, utilities, etc. Public transport is also resoundingly better than in the US  I genuinely thought I was going to hate it over here but sprisingly, that hasnt been the case at all  One of the additional benefits we're enjoying is that you can fly to pretty much anywhere (except the US for some reason) super cheap too
