So tired of sictom laugh tracks.

Every 15 seconds there is a full audience laugh track played.
It is so irritating that I never watch sitcoms anymore.
Real life comedy has sporadic laughter and from different numbers of people; not always the entire audience.

Same thing for youtube videos with a meme clip every few seconds.
So fucking 2001, and so irritating.

Fuck.

I just need to turn all this shit off and rake my yard; because that's more entertaining.

I agree, sometimes, that laugh track is very overpowering & really does ruin watching the sitcom or comedy scene...

sometimes, they get it just right and you don´t actually notice the laugh, it´s just there.

Producers & their productions, maybe it´s actually the sound department

Far worse (for me) is when on a tv talk show the Host announces the Guest (usually a politician or someone equally unknown) and the audience goes ape shit like they just heard The Beatles would be on.

Propaganda at its worst.

I just ignore it and move on - many shows do have an audience present during taping but often turn up the volume or use a laugh track to encourage what we already feel to let out. Now ask yourself can you watch porn without the moaning tracks going on?

Not sure I fully agree - It would be kinda weird without it... For example, I couldn't imagine watching a video of someone taking a shit, but without the grunts, groans, gurgles, farts & splashing noises... Be a bit weird and boring...

It's crazy growing up with the laugh track, and then spending 10+ years only watching single cam shows... The laugh track is so jarring to come back to.

Most recent example I can think of is the new Frasier, I could not get past the obnoxious overdone laugh track and stopped watching. (Also Nile's son was overdone but whatever)
