    Rant no ads on gfy anymore?

    what is going on? surely there are companies that are looking for affiliates and can afford to purchase ads, no? whatever happened to $20k forum skinning every other week or so?

                              do you guys not think that blocking ads completely is wrong / unethical? especially considering that some of us depend on the ads to make money?

                                  As someone who used to be on the side of ad publishers... I can no longer side with them. They've destroyed the web, you cannot browse any website anymore without an adblocker. It's literally unusable without one.

                                  Time to change to a new business model.

                                      This is where I land as well. Sure, I make a living both buying and selling ads.

                                      Mainstream web ads have made the web unusable though. A lot of Fortune 500 publishing companies have saturated their websites in multiple auto playing animated overlays with zero consideration for how they make their content unreadable on mobile.

                                          As a surfer I love ad blockers.
                                          As a webmaster I create custom ads that won't get blocked.

                                              It's hilarious that most porn sites have streamlined ads to be sleek and effective where as mainstream websites look like a fucking 1999 styled circlejerk porn lander that hijacks your browser.

                                                  News websites are so hilariously bad and stupid. Even hosting their own videos is insane, they could have been cashing in with YouTube all this time.
