That's how it's done around here. To be fair, the same is done on most social type networks.
Anyone can become an overnight sensation. It's simple really, all you do is create multiple accounts, talk yourself up in most of the threads, stroke the ego, talk shit about others, and have the troll accounts do the same, rinse repeat. Or, you can have the opposite effect as well and target a user, or group of users. Often times, if there are a few involved, they create private chats and/or use groups to orchestrate shit. It's done in politics all the time. That's why online smear campaigns are so effective, because sadly *most people* believe what they read or hear and if xx number of people are saying it, it must be true.
