TOR? No, its just plain stupid now. Every site popping it up expecting me to perform it every time. I have no issues with showing my ID - My Mobile carrier bans porn unless you ask for it unlocked and so I asked... I doubt a child would be able to afford my fiber internet bill...
Its really just silly. Especially when a simple VPN bypasses all the nonsense.

Why would anyone go through the hassle and inconvenience of verifying their age when they don't know anything about your site? You should have a safe for work page or pages first to explain what your site is about and try on it to tempt people to verify their age to see more or join. Even have some safe for work images. Then have age verification for people to join or see more of your site. In my opinion you've just put a block on your site. I've seen a lot of sites do the same thing and it baffles me. Surely the best thing to do is create a safe for work tour where you can show what your site is about and give information about it. To go to a site and be immediately confronted with the age verification has got to be the wrong thing to do. I'm sure almost everyone will just not bother with it and just move on to another site.Comment

No it's not the law! You don't have to have an age verification block on your index page stopping anyone from viewing anything on your site. There is such a thing as a safe for work tour. Anyone who has age verification on their index page is an idiot and will be losing money.Comment

But what if they've never heard of your site before? To them it will be just another porn site with age verification block on it. Why would they bother to go through the annoying process of verifying their age. Anyone with any sense would just move on to another porn site. What's so special about your site? I've no idea because I can't see anything of it. Surely you want to get new viewers to your site who have never heard of it before. There's no information about what is on you site. Well webmasters should try to think the same way as surfers! I'm a surfer and I see a banner on some porn and I click on it and it takes me here:

Am I going to go through the annoying process of age verification just to find out what the site is about? No way. That site has lost me as a potential member.
But if the webmasters started to think like the surfers they wouldn't put an age verification block on the index page. It's like having a shop with the shutters down! Just have a safe for work page or little tour and try to sell your site. Have some safe for work images and really try to sell the site and encourage the surfer to go through age verification so he can join or see the not safe for work tour. That's just common sense. There is then a good chance that the surfer will go through the age verification process.
I would say a big percentage of porn surfers know about VPN's and have been using them for years. Now more and more people are learning about them and how they can by pass age verification laws if they use one. I saw an article in a national newspaper that explained how you can by pass age verification if you use a VPN.Comment

We don't make the laws...and UK is not the only place doing this atm. Soon it will be all over EU and all over the US, the main markets for credit card payments, anyway. There is no escape from this, so the earlier we start to adjust, the better. And as of right now...sales are pretty much the same as before. The only websites which this will get out of business are the free porn sites...which is not that bad at all. Are you retarded? What are you on about? Yes I know it's the law that we have to have age verification but if you read my messages I've never said you don't have to have age verification. You can have a safe for work tour and anyone who has any sense will do that. Also I've just looked at your site again from the UK and got the age verification block and in the background playing is a blurred porn trailer where you can clearly see people having sex and a few cocks. So you need to rethink that as you are breaking the law. Good luck with your site. Do what you want - I don't care.
