People who launder money would love to pay taxes to clean up their dirty money. If you have $5 mil of dirty money at home, you can't do anything with it...you can't even spend most of it, because you would instantly draw attention to you and everything is monitored these days. So most people would love to give 20-40% of that away to have the rest clean and be able to actually spend it.
